golo Responsible Gaming
Gaming is for enjoyment — not for stress or harm. golo believes every player has the right to play safely and with full awareness. On this page you will find how to set your own limits, when to take caution, and where to get support if you need it.
The Foundation of Responsible Gaming
The minimum age to open an account and participate in any game at golo is 21. This rule is strictly enforced.
Gambling or betting is a form of entertainment — not a reliable way to earn money. The outcome of every game is uncertain and there is always a risk of losing. golo wants you to enjoy this entertainment, but not at the cost of your daily life, family, or financial stability.
Reading our Terms and Conditions will help you understand how golo has set policies to protect players and what restrictions apply to account use.
Before you play, ask yourself a few questions: What is my budget for today? How long will I play? If I lose this money, will it affect my family's daily expenses? If the answers are not positive, take a break.
Tools to Set Your Limits
golo provides players with several self-control tools. Use them to keep your own gaming in check.
Deposit Limit
Set a maximum amount you can deposit per day, week, or month. Once set, reducing the limit takes effect immediately; increasing it requires a 24-hour wait.
Session Time Limit
Decide in advance how long you will play in one session. Once that time is up, the account automatically ends the session and sends you a notification.
Loss Limit
Set how much you are willing to lose within a given period. Once that amount is reached, you will not be able to place further bets — the account will automatically pause.
Temporary Break
Step away from gaming for 24 hours, 72 hours, or 7 days. During this time you cannot log in, but you can still view your account information.
Self-Exclusion
If you want to stay away from gaming for an extended period, self-exclude for anywhere from 30 days to 5 years. While active, reactivating the account is not straightforward.
Activity Review
View your full history of deposits, withdrawals, and bets at any time. Analyse your own gaming patterns to make informed decisions.
More about Self-Exclusion
Self-exclusion is one of the most powerful control tools available. Once activated:
- You will no longer be able to log in to your account
- No bonus or promotional messages will be sent to you
- Any request to reopen the account before the set period ends goes through a verification process of at least 7 days
- For urgent needs, support is available via golo's 24/7 live chat or email
To activate self-exclusion, go to your account settings or contact our support team directly.
Warning Signs
There are some early signs of problematic gaming that are important to recognise. If any of the following signs appear, it is wise to take a break.
Playing beyond your budget
Making repeated extra deposits to recover lost money, or cutting back on household expenses to keep betting — this is a serious warning sign.
More time than planned
Spending more time gaming instead of sleeping, working, or being with your family, and being unable to stop — this is a cause for concern.
Anxiety and loneliness
Turning to gaming to cope with worry, irritability, or loneliness, and sinking into anger or despair after a loss.
Hiding from family
Concealing your gaming from family or friends, or lying about it — get help before it creates distance in your relationships.
"Chasing" — trying to recover losses
Repeatedly placing bets after a loss with the thought "I'll win this time" and losing even more — this cycle is the most dangerous pattern.
Playing on borrowed money
Borrowing money from family or friends, or running on credit, to keep betting — this is a clear sign that help is needed.
golo's Commitment
We believe responsible gaming delivers the best experience in the long run. golo always places player protection above profit. Keeping your information secure and ensuring a safe environment are our core goals — for more details, see our Privacy Policy.
